Legal

Terms of service.

The short version: be kind, own your content, keep it legal, and cancel any time. The details are below.

Last updated October 22, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Howdy (howdy.bio) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. If you use Howdy for a business, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.

2. Your account

  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13 years old.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Your content

You own what you put on your page. You give us permission to host, display and process it so we can run the service, including showing it to visitors you choose to share it with.

You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to it, including images, names and links.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Howdy to:

  • break the law or help others do so
  • post content that is hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative or promotes violence
  • infringe someone's intellectual property or privacy
  • impersonate others, or mislead people about who you are
  • send spam, or collect other people's data without a lawful basis
  • distribute malware, phishing or scams, or link to them
  • attack, probe or overload our systems, or scrape them beyond normal use

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

5. Subscribers and messages you collect

If you collect emails or messages through your page, you are the one responsible for handling them lawfully, including getting any consent required, honouring unsubscribe requests and following email laws that apply to you.

6. Apps and links

  • Only add apps you own or are authorised to promote.
  • App names, icons and screenshots shown on app pages come from Apple's public App Store listings and belong to their owners. You must not use Howdy to mislead people about what an app is or who makes it.
  • Howdy is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple Inc. App Store and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc.
  • Smart links send visitors to the App Store or Google Play. We can't guarantee how a particular in-app browser handles a store link, so test your links where you post them.

7. Plans and payments

  • Howdy has a free plan and paid plans: Plus, Pro and a one-time Lifetime plan. Features and prices are shown on our pricing page.
  • Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record. They collect payment, apply any sales tax and issue your invoice.
  • Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Billing in your dashboard, and you keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Lifetime is a one-time payment for the Pro features we offer, for as long as Howdy operates the service. It is limited to the first 1,000 buyers.
  • We may change prices for new purchases and renewals with at least 30 days' notice. Lifetime purchasers are not charged again.

8. Refunds

If something isn't right, contact us within 30 days of your first payment for a plan or Lifetime purchase and we'll refund you. Renewal payments are generally not refundable once the new period has started, unless the law says otherwise. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

9. Free plan and the Howdy badge

Free pages display a small “Made with howdy.bio” badge. Removing or hiding it without a paid plan is not allowed.

10. Our service

We work hard to keep Howdy running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If we plan to end a feature you pay for, we'll give you reasonable notice.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, or through our contact page if you can't sign in. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or that put the service or other people at risk. On closure we delete your page and data as described in the privacy policy.

12. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.

13. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is important we'll tell you in advance. Continuing to use Howdy after a change means you accept it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country or state where the operator of Howdy is established, and disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country.
